Pilot scheme launched to encourage more black and minority ethnic police recruits

Buckinghamshire New University is working with the Thames Valley Police to recruit more officers from black and minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds.

The force is funding a pilot scheme to support a class of 25 BME students and 25 subsequent places on Certificate in Knowledge of Policing courses to take place in High Wycombe and Slough in January 2015.
