I grew up in the Eighties wearing brown dungarees and orange t-shirts, and my liberal mother made sure there is not one photo of me as a little girl wearing pink. So it's a little strange that since the age of 16, girly pink has been one of my favourite colours.

As spring arrives we've got less than six months to our wedding, but I've changed my mind. I don't think the dress I've ordered is 'the one'. When I read wedding magazines, brides describe how they fell in love with their dress, can't wait to wear it and knew it was 'the one', much like the man they're about to marry. Don't get me wrong, I like my dress, and if I wore it I'd have a lovely day and look like a bride.

Amandeep Turna and three fellow Burnham Grammar School pupils recently climbed Mount Snowdown for the Wings of Hope charity. The 16-year-old (second left) fills us in on their adventure.
