MURDER TRIAL VERDICT: All four defendants found guilty of murder

Shaleem AmarA 25-year-old man has been found guilty of murder at Reading Crown Court today.

Tom Johnston, of Town Lane, Pampisford, Cambridge, was found guilty just days after his brother Ben Johnston, 27, and father Robert Johnston, 57, of the same address, were also convicted of murder.

Shaun Matthews, 55, of Whittlesford, Cambridge, was also found guilty by the jury by a majority of 11 to one.

Tom was found guilty by a majority of 10 to two this afternoon after a jury unanimously agreed that his father and brother were also guilty on Thursday.

The four men were on trial for the murder of Shaleem Amar, 33, at his home in Sunningdale on November 17 last year. The father-of-three was found in the back of a van partially buried in sand after having been beaten by a hammer.

They will return to the court tomorrow for sentencing.
