Two big screens will be set up in the Long Walk in Windsor tomorrow so that people can watch the spectacular military parade happening nearby. The screens will be placed between the Park Street and Brook Street entrances with refreshment outlets and public toilets nearby. The parade involves 2,500 army, navy and air force representatives and will start soon after 10.30am
Radical plans have been put forward to scrap the education system in Windsor to cope with rising future demand for places. Changing the system from three to two tiers is one of three options being suggested by a Royal Borough task and finish group to cope with pressure on senior student provision in the town. Other options include expanding Windsor Boys' School, Windsor Girls' School and Churchmead School in Datchet or building a new co-educational sixth form.

A plea date is yet to be set for a police officer from Windsor Police Station and his wife charged with various fraud offences. Detective Sergeant Narinder Sahota, 49, was charged on January 17, but has had his case moved from Swindon Crown Court to Bristol Crown Court. He is charged with nine counts of obtaining a mortgage by deception, five counts of defrauding Her Majesty's
