Stereophonics star says 'on your bike'
Stereophonics band member Richard Jones is urging people to saddle up with him to raise money for a much-loved hospice.
Richard, who is bassist and backing vocalist with the famous Welsh band, will be swapping his strings for wheels as he takes on the 25-mile ride to raise money for Windsor's Pine Lodge hospice in Hatch Lane.
The ride starts and finishes in Higginson Park, Marlow, on Sunday, April 22.
Richard visited the hospice on Friday, February 10 and said: "I know the hospice needs many more riders and I hope that by being here today I can encourage others to take part.
"The route is great. I rode it last year and enjoyed it so much I wanted to do it all again this year."
Thames Hospicecare - which runs Pine Lodge and its sister day hospice at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot - relies on fundraising events like the bike ride.
The event starts at 8am, entry is £10 per person. Visit www.thameshospicecare.org.uk to sign up.
