Sign up early for annual duck race

Fans of big summer fairs will be looking forward to being 'out for a duck' in June.

The annual duck race, in which plastic ducks are raced down the Thames to raise money for good causes, is always a big attraction at the annual Windsor jubilee midsummer fair.

This year's fair will take place on Saturday, June 30 from noon to 5pm in Alexandra Gardens with the jubilee duck race happening at 4pm near Bath Island at the back of the Leisure Centre.

Those who would like to be part of the race will be able to buy a duck for £2 from a number of outlets including King Edward Court shopping centre which sponsors the race.

Business jubilee ducks will be available at £25 each - for companies that want to race - with all sales contributing to this year's Christmas lights in Windsor and Eton.

Meanwhile organisations and charities are invited to have a stall at the fair. Contact Ron Lewandowski on rwl.gdl@sky.com or phone 07860 899166 to book your stall.
