School hosts fun day to celebrate new classroom opening
The animal kingdom took over from the humans at Wraysbury School when teachers and pupils changed species for the day.
The Welley Road school's new modular extension had been formally opened in October last year. But now the two new classrooms for four to five-year-olds are also operating.
On Monday teachers mixed with parents and governors and the recent lessons about the animals of Africa came to life as some dressed up to look like their favourite four legged creature.
The new classrooms boast 'built in' toilets so the tiny pupils do not have to wonder alone down the corridors, a canopy with play equipment so the children can go outside and glass sliding doors to bring the brightness of the outdoor world into the classroom.
Expanding population numbers has led to the school in Welley Road seeing its intake of new pupils at the beginning of the education year rise from 30 to 60.
