Former Slough mayor dies aged 80
Former Slough mayor Olive Mansell has died, aged 80.
Better known as Jo, Mrs Mansell served as a Slough Borough Council councillor from 1992 to 2001.
She was first elected to represent Chalvey ward, followed by Baylis and Stoke, and was deputy mayor in 1998/99.
She was elected mayor for 1999/2000.
She died on Monday morning, September 12, and the Town Hall flag is flying at half mast as a mark of respect.
The funeral will be held at Slough Cemetery and Crematorium Chapel at 11am on Friday, September 23.
She leaves her husband of 28 years, Dave, also a former Slough councillor, and five sons.
