Police and Slough council chiefs appealed to the public this week to help them catch ‘despicable’ thieves who steal blue badges from vehicles belonging to the disabled.

Already this year 42 badges have been stolen – 23 of them in Slough.

A 33-year-old man was arrested last weekend for breaking into a parked car in Herschel Street, Slough, and stealing a badge.

He pleaded guilty at Slough Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He will be sentenced later this month.
