It may have stood dark and empty for years but the mammoth Taplow Paper Mill is now the leading light in a new nationally-released film. British thriller 'Four', produced by EastEnders actress Nina Wadia and her husband Raiomond Mirza, was filmed almost entirely at the disused and derelict Mill Lane site in February last year.
Sometimes it's time to stop running and enjoy the world. That's the message Reading-based band Amys Ghost are trying to get across in the brand new video for their single Peaceful Sleepers. Part-filmed in the Oxfordshire countryside, its theme is one to which many people can relate. Singer Amy Barton explained: "I'm one of these people who always has far too much on my plate and I don't really have a lot of time to myself.
The Queen and Prince Philip have celebrated Her Majesty's diamond jubilee year in Windsor. They took part in celebrations today when they greeted children and families who lined the streets of the of the town. They left Windsor Castle shortly before midday before walking down Castle Hill and into Windsor's Guildhall.
Rape victim Doreen Smith, known as Joy, has spoken out after the man who raped her in a McDonalds toilet cubicle in 1986 was jailed. Rapist Alexander McGuire, 60, of Greyhound View, Sandy Lane, Bedfordshire, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday for eight years behind bars.
