Breakfast DJ Chris Evans makes a surprise visit to annual ball

Revellers got a Christmas surprise when Radio 2 breakfast presenter Chris Evans popped in at the Windsor Conservative’s annual ball.

He was invited to the event by a friend and dropped in on his way home to Ascot following filming for the National Lottery.

Other guests included Windsor MP Adam Afriyie and his wife Tracy-Jane.

The ball was held at Legoland's ballroom on Saturday, November 30.

Windsor Conservative chairman Robert McLean’s twelve year old daughter Molly and friend Hannah took centre stage when they helped with the auction.

Local businessman Graham Wooldridge won the bid to take a family of four to visit Lapland UK in Ascot  donated by its MD Mike Battle.

Graham then gave the prize to Children with Special Needs Foundation in Farnham Surrey.  Laura Grainger and her family are the lucky recipients.

Laura said: "We dreamt of visiting Lapland UK but that was all it could be, we are over the moon with our gift from Graham.”
