Windsor Half-Marathon names Cancer Research UK as partner charity
Runners from last year's Windsor Half-Marathon.
A charity partner has been announced for the Windsor Half-Marathon which enables more runners to take part at the sold-out event.

Cancer Research UK have come on board as a silver charity partner for the 13 mile race, which starts and finishes at The Long Walk on Sunday, September 28.

There will also be a Running4Women Windsor 10k held the day before (September 27).

There are 100 charity places for runners who are keen on raising funds for Cancer Research UK, costing £20 and a minimum of £250 in sponsorship.

Susan Fitzgerald, Cancer Research UK sports team manager, said: "We are so pleased to be involved with the Windsor Half-Marathon this year.

"Running is a great way to reduce your cancer risk and almost half of all cancers could be prevented by making healthy lifestyle choices, so we want to encourage you all to hit the pavements with us."

Other official charity partners include Scope and Clic Sargent.

Visit www.runwindsor.com/charities for more information on registering to run in the Windsor Half-Marathon for a charity.
