A woman was raped in Windsor early this morning.
Police say at 1.30am the woman, who is in her twenties, reported she had been attacked by a man in a park near Bachelors Acre.
The woman had been separated from her boyfriend, and was standing outside the Bar Indigo nightclub in Goswell Hill, when a man approached her.
Police say she agreed to talk to him away from the club. After walking a short distance to the park, he raped her.
After the attack she managed to make her way back to Acres Passage, with the attacker still with her. She then asked for some help from passers-by and the man fled on foot.
He is described as black, six feet tall, slim and was wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans
Detective Inspector Christina Berenger of Bracknell CID said: "This appears to be a one-off incident in which the offender managed to persuade the woman to move away from a busy area by the club to somewhere more isolated.
"This attack has left her understandably traumatised and we would urge anyone who was in and around Bachelors Acre, Acres Passage and Goswell Hill between midnight and 2am and recognises the description of the offender to contact us as a matter of urgency.
"I would like to reassure people that this kind of incident is rare in Windsor and we are working hard to apprehend the perpetrator and bring him to justice."
