A Staffie at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home (BDCH) has found a new home after 464 days at the centre in Old Windsor.
Martha, a Staffordshire bull terrier, was renamed by staff at BDCH after Martha Collison, a Charters School student who became the youngest ever contestant on last year's series of The Great British Bake Off.
They hoped having a famous namesake would attract more attention and secure a home for the dog, as well as launching an appeal.
On Friday, the chocolate-coloured dog was re-homed and will now settle down in Newcastle.
Her time at the kennels in Priests Hill far exceeds the average stay of 29 days.
