Nearly 300 ladies took on the Breeze Challenge Event on Sunday alongside Countdown’s Rachel Riley.
The first challenge organised by the British Cycling group to come to Windsor saw women of all ages take on either a 50km or a 100km course around Berkshire and on into Buckinghamshire.
Rachel Riley is an avid cyclist and ambassador for Breeze and was looking forward to taking on her first cycling challenge.
Gearing up for her 50km cycle, she said: “I love cycling, I go all around London on a bike and so to get involved with Breeze was great.
“This is my first big challenge but I’m looking forward to it.
“Breeze is all about just building confidence in women to just get on a bike and enjoy it.”
Breeze Cycling is a nationwide community with female volunteers available to give hints and tips of how to get into cycling.
The challenge events are starting to pop-up across the country, with Windsor hoped to be a permanent feature on the calendar.
