To celebrate 54 years of The Lions Club of Windsor a special event was held to acknowledge the commitment of long-standing members.
More than 60 people including club members, their family, friends and representatives from neighbouring Lions Clubs attended the event at The Macdonald Berystede Hotel in Bagshot Road.
Alan Chapman, director general of Lions International 105D district, handed out long service awards to some of the club’s members including Harry Purchase and Mike Sells.
They were awarded for 40 years and 20 years of service respectively.
John Peters also received a special mention for his 54 years of service, an achievement that makes him one of the longest serving Lions in the south of England.
Bob Tavinor, president of The Lions Club of Windsor, said: “We planned something special and that’s what we had.”
He also thanked the staff of The Macdonald Berystede Hotel for their hospitality.
The event took place on Sunday, November 15.
