Having seen friends and family affected by cancer, three girls took to the pool to raise money.
Three 11-year-olds from Ascot completed a mile-long swim to collect cash for Cancer Research UK.
Danella Bacon, Maya Reid and Hannah Dores dived in at the Heathfield School pool in London Road on Sunday.
Danella’s mum Karen Sutton said: “Danella and Maya wanted to do something to raise money for a cancer charity as both have had family and family friends affected by cancer.
“They both enjoy swimming and a mile seemed like a good challenge and so the journey began.”
The pair, who go to Ascot Heath Junior School, were joined by friend Hannah who goes to Cheapside Primary School for the fundraising effort.
They completed the 64 length swim in less than 45 minutes and have raised about £900 so far.
