Captain Ben Millar said he's not panicking that Cookham Dean have lost their first two matches in TVL Division 1, although he would like the first win to come sooner rather than later.
The Dean, who won the division in 2015 and spent last season in the Home Counties Premier League before coming straight back down, had hoped to be challenging for promotion again.
However, they are currently bottom of the table after two defeats, the latest one being on Saturday against Gerrards Cross which they lost by 101 runs.
"It's not the end of the world at the moment," said Millar.
"Although it would be nice to get the monkey off our backs of not having won this season.
"But we are a decent side and there are no alarm bells ringing yet.
"The points system is quite forgiving, especially in these win-or-lose matches, so a couple of wins will soon move us off the bottom."
Assessing the defeat to Gerrards Cross – who were relegated alongside the Dean at the end of last season – Millar believes scoring runs and having players missing were issues.
The Dean's match away to Henley 2nds on Saturday will start at 1pm.
