A launch event for next year’s Windsor and Eton Pride was a ‘massive hit’ say organisers – and the date of the first ever Pride in Windsor has been announced.

The event took place on Saturday at Windsor and Eton Brewery, with the intention of drumming up some hype for next years’ Pride – and offering visitors a ‘sneak peek’ into the big day.

On the day there was a soulful song sensation from the Love2Sing Choir, a comedic act from Andrew O'Neill, a ‘very inspiring’ historical talk about the history of Pride from Ally Tomlinson, a lip-sync dance dazzle by Stella Shanita, and acts from Windsor College performing arts students.

There were also ‘fabulous performances’ from Grace Anatomy and ‘London's Married Drag Duo’, (Aidan Orange and Miss Joelle) who ‘stole the show.’

Wildcat Willie’s Pride Disco also brought ‘whimsical grooves’ to the Pride launch event.

“The event was a massive hit, there wasn't a free table all day – we were so pleased,” said Windsor & Eton Pride trustee Kirsty Northam.

Volunteers Jacob and Alex acted as comperes to keep the audience going.

There was also quiz and raffle prizes donated from the Theatre Royal Windsor, GAIL’s Bakery, Sweaty Betty, River Island, Windsor & Eton Brewery, Fudge Kitchen – and a Windsor & Eton Pride swag basket.

The event also sold limited-edition Windsor & Eton Pride T-shirts and other merchandise.

All funds raised have gone directly into putting on Windsor Pride next year – the date of which was announced at the launch event.

Pride will be taking place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Alexandra Gardens.

It will see the first ever Pride parade through the Long Walk, past the Castle and through Windsor Town centre.
