Plans to extend the opening hours to enable McDonald’s restaurants in Maidenhead and Windsor to operate 24 hours a day have been submitted to the Royal Borough.
The fast-food chain said the move is intended to provide more job opportunities within these areas and ‘greater flexibility and convenience’ to customers such as key workers and late-night commuters.
SNAK Restaurants Limited has submitted licensing applications for the Maidenhead High Street restaurant and the Thames Street venue in Windsor, seeking permission to provide late night refreshments.
This would include hot food and non-alcoholic drinks to be consumed on and off the premises from Monday to Sunday from 11pm to 5am at both restaurants.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “At McDonald’s, we are committed to being a responsible and considerate neighbour within our local community.
“Our application to extend the operating hours of both our Maidenhead and Windsor restaurants is intended to provide additional job opportunities in these areas and greater flexibility and convenience for customers - including key workers and late-night commuters.
“We remain fully engaged with residents, stakeholders, and the licensing authority to address any concerns they may have.”
