Holyport teenager Leadbitter on course for professional Motocross career

TEENAGER Todd Leadbitter remains on track to become a pro-fessional motocross rider after another successful year on two wheels.

The 14-year-old, who attends Holyport College and lives in Court Close, Holyport, finished fifth in the Pirrelli British Masters Under-21s championship, but also took the chequered flag to stand top of the rostrum in the British Premier ACU Cup at Culham in Oxfordshire.

Riding on a 250cc KTM he was the second youngest in the country to compete at this class.

Leadbitter, who competed on foreign shores for the first time this season at an event in Dubai, is now training hard to be up to speed for the 2018 season.

He is set to compete in the Maxxis MxY2 British Championships, the highest level event in the UK which will take him to races across Europe and Dubai.

He currently receives sponsorship from several local companies to enable him to follow, and hopefully one day fulfil, his dream of becoming a professional rider.
