Share your Advertiser memories with us for our 150th anniversary

This month, the Advertiser celebrates 150 years of reporting important events to the community and holding people in power to account.

Here at ’Tiser Towers we are gearing up towards celebrating the milestone with a special supplement and a book chronicling the paper’s history written by former editor Martin Trepte.

Our Thursday, July 25 edition will include a look at major events in the paper’s history, iconic front pages, our campaigns and charitable efforts and messages from prominent people associated with Maidenhead.

We would also like to hear memories from our readers about the Maidenhead Advertiser.

Did you feature prominently in a story once? Perhaps an Advertiser article had an impact on you? Did seeing a piece make you get involved with something you might not have come across otherwise?

We want to find out how our paper has affected you.

Advertiser editor James Preston said: “We are extremely excited to be celebrating the paper’s 150th anniversary this month.

“Our commemorative supplement will include thoughts from well-known local figures and past editors and journalists.

“But we are nothing without our readers and we are proud of the fact our articles can shine a light on someone’s achievements or bring to the fore something that changes somebody’s life.

“We want to hear what our paper means to you.

“If you have any interesting memories of the paper, we’d love to hear

from you.”
