Jack Shea and Jordan Newman scored for Cookham Dean as they overcame struggling Taplow United 2-0 on Saturday.
Only two Premier Division matches survived the weather, but Dean will be thankful theirs went ahead after Newman fired home a cracking opener to put them ahead.
Shea then netted on his debut after Scott Jackson’s strike bounced back down to him after coming off the bar.
Matt Snell, another debutant came mightily close to adding a third with a shot that flew inches wide, while Luke Ridgewell, the third of Cookham’s debut makers, kept a clean sheet in goal.

A Thames Valley Premier League representative XI exited the FA Inter League competition after a 5-4 defeat to Amateur Combination League (AFC).
The team featured several Marlow United players, and Alan McKie – who scored for the visitors – was named man of the match.
They fell behind to Holt’s curling effort early on, but levelled matters through Donegan’s penalty, after Cox was bundled over in the box.
McLennon curled the ball over a scrambling Rundle to make it 2-1 before McKie netted. Holt restored AFC’s advantage with a firm header that crashed in off the crossbar, and AFC netted twice more after the break.
Donegan, a second penalty, and Langford completed the scoring for Thames Valley.
