Maidenhead Boys & Girls FC claimed a number of cups and runners-up spots at their annual football tournament in Braywick Park over the weekend.

In the boys matches, Maidenhead Dragons Blue u10s were runners-up to Marlow Youth.
In the trophy matches Maidenhead Sharks Blue u11s were beaten on penalties in the final against Spartans Black.
There was also success for other local clubs with the Windsor Kestrels winning the u18s boys tournament and the FC Holyport Cobras coming out on top in the u13s boys event.
One of the competition organisers, Sarah Shea said: “This year’s tournament had over 250 teams participating and was a great success. This year all of the results were available on the day shortly after each game had been completed, which further improved communication and enhanced the smooth running of the event.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the hoards of parents of our players who volunteered hundreds of hours between them to help our committee, managers and coaches run the event. It could not have happened without you all.”
Sarah also thanked tournament sponsors Shanly Foundation, Prospect Estate Agents, Claires Court School and AQ Construction Services.
Next year’s event has been scheduled for July 4-5. To register your interest email
