Holyport FC will look to carry the momentum from their most recent league fixture, a convincing 5-0 win at Abingdon Town, into this weekend’s home game against Woodley United.
Port made the trip to Culham Road on November 5 and came away comfortable winners with Steven Deverall (two), Fabian Driffill (two), and Andy Forisky all on target.
Driffill has arguably been Holyport’s star man this season, having now found the net 16 times in as many appearances.
The result lifts Port to sixth in Division 1 East and the side should be brimming with confidence ahead of the visit of 16th placed Woodley.
Port have won five and drawn three of their nine matches so far this season.
Their only blemish is the 4-1 defeat to local rivals Marlow United, who are flirting with promotion in second place.
The Flying Blues never took off on Saturday as their game against AFC Aldermaston fell victim to the bad weather.
Marlow are six points adrift of leaders Risborough Rangers and will aim to stay on their coattails by taking all three points against Chalvey Sports at Oak Tree Road this afternoon (Saturday).
The Blues come into the game off the back of their magnificent Challenge Cup win at Hellenic Premier Division Flackwell Heath. They secured progression thanks to a 4-3 penalty shoot-out win after the tie finished goalless.
