Slough's Ilyas Chaudhery is starting to make a name for himself across the globe, after becoming the youngest child from the UK to win the world Jiu-Jitsu title in Los Angeles, California.
The eight-year-old is one of the most promising young martial artists in the world and travelled to the PAN World Jiu-Jitsu Championships in California with coach Elias Moreira.
A day before competing in the PAN championships Ilyas was also successful in the North American Grappling Association championships where he gained the GI and NoGi belts.
Ilyas was also promoted to yellow belt at the championships, one of the youngest at his Icon Jiu Jitsu gym to ever achieve such a distinction.
The eight-year-old trains at the Icon Jiu-Jitsu club, which specialises in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and was founded by former men's world champion Ze Macello.
Icon have been assisting him in preparing for both tournaments. Ilyas' strength, conditioning and Jiu-Jitsu technique is being refined by coach Elias Moreira, who has also been an inspiration to him throughout his Jiu Jitsu journey.
