Maidenhead Athletic Club has taken the extremely difficult decision to suspend all training sessions and club runs until further notice.

This will include Tuesday’s track and circuit training for seniors and juniors.

Following the cancellation of the Fleet Half Marathon on Sunday, Chris Sutton and Sam Gillespie decided to try and run the course, with Chris crossing the unofficial finish in 1.46.09 and Sam in 1.55.34

Leila Oliver completed the undulating two lap course of the Croydon half marathon in 1.55.36, her fastest time for the distance in seven years and only a minute or so off her all-time best.

James Fickling smashed his personal best for the Hampton Court Half Marathon, crossing the finish in 1.24.50, a pb of close to two minutes. Leila and James both finished seventh in their age categories and James was 45th overall.

Abbie Jones completed in her last ever English Schools Cross Country championships at Sefton Park in Liverpool on Saturday, coming 49th out of 300 runners and was also second home for Berkshire. She also helped the Berkshire Senior Girls team to fifth place out of 32.
