Magpies hold onto midfielder Rohan Ince but Alex Addai returns to Cheltenham Town

Maidenhead United have managed to hold onto the services of midfielder Rohan Ince until the end of the season, however, another of their loanees, Alex Addai has been recalled by parent club Cheltenham Town.

Addai certainly made an impression during his short spell with the Magpies, scoring their winner in a 1-0 victory over Eastleigh last month.

The club though have been able to do a deal with Cheltenham to keep Ince until the end of the season, much to assistant boss Ryan Peter’s delight.

He said: “There’s an extension for Rohan. We’re over the moon for that.

“He has been brilliant for us and it shows that we’re going in the right direction to get someone of his calibre here, and to keep him here for the rest of the season.

“I’m sure there would be a lot of worthy suitors for him but he’s staying with us because he clearly likes what he’s seeing at this moment in time.

“Fingers crossed it will lead to something else.”

He added: “Alex was also good for us while he was here.

“He probably didn’t get enough minutes because all of the boys have been playing so well. But when he came in, he was really effective for us. He goes off after a 4-0 win over Wealdstone.”
