Flackwell Heath FC have revealed their new management team just a day after the committee announced Marcus Richardson would be leaving Wilks Park.
Chris Ayres steps into the hotseat as the Heathens’ first team manager along with ex-Burnham boss Paul Shone as his assistant.
A statement on the club’s official Twitter account read: “Flackwell Heath FC would like to welcome Chris Ayres as First Team Manager, along with Paul Shone as his Assistant Manager.
"Both bring with them a wealth of knowledge at Step 5, having played and managed in local football at this level. The Club are looking forward to working with Chris and Paul taking on the challenges that lay ahead of us.”
Following the announcement, first team coach Samuel Loades tweeted he would be departing: “I have made the decision today to leave my role as 1st team coach at Flackwell Heath FC.
"I would like to thank the chairman Terry Glynn and Marcus for bringing me in last year, plus all the players and volunteers for making me feel so welcome.
“As with football, there are so many highs and lows, however, my personal highlight was the club’s record FA Vase run. I have been lucky enough to coach many talented players and wish the club all the best in the future.
"I’ll now have time to concentrate on my coaching business and coaching at Reading FC academy.”
