A special guest opened a new bar and shop at the Windsor and Eton Brewery on Thursday, April 28.
Brewery owner Will Calvert’s mum Elizabeth, who turned 90 on Saturday, did the honours and opened the bar which was packed with around 80 people.
A refurbished bar and shop is the latest addition to the brewery which has been open in the Vansittart Estate for six years.
Graeme Crompton, in charge of consumer sales, said: “This will improve the offering to the consumer but it’s also a community thing, we want local people to be able to come and have a drink after work.
“It was really nice to have Elizabeth there she gave a little speech and said she remembers the brewery from day one.”
The new shop and bar are open until 6pm from Monday-Thursday, until 7pm on Friday and from 10am-4pm on Saturday.
More than 50 street parties are set to take place this weekend across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the surrounding areas.
An independent report into a Conservative councillor has found a breach of the Royal Borough’s code of conduct in a document seen by the Advertiser.
