Legoland launches new interactive attraction

Celebrities including comedian Romesh Ranganthan and Oscar nominated actress Rosamund Pike descended on Legoland Windsor on Saturday, June 3, as the resort launched a new ride.

Ninjago World, now open to the public, gives thrill-seekers the chance to virtually throw fireballs, shock waves, ice and lightning using nothing but their hands.

Life-size Ninjago characters roamed around the new attraction and stopped for pictures with youngsters checking out the ride for the first time.

It is the UK’s first hand-gesture enabled ride and also includes 4D effects of heat, smoke and wind.

The theme park got permission to build the indoor ride in June last year with strategic director Ingrid Fernandes saying she hoped more indoor attractions would encourage families to visit during autumn and spring.

It will also be opening its Castle Hotel on July 1 which will feature knight and wizard-themed rooms.
