Replacement school bus routes set up through Wraysbury and Datchet

A new bus service has been introduced to make sure children can get to school in Slough.

Replacement bus routes through Wraysbury and Datchet were replaced last month but some were concerned that the new route would leave the village disconnected from Slough.

This would mean children travelling to Slough or Langley for school would have to take two buses with no guarantee the connection would line up in time for the start of the day.

But, on Tuesday Courtney Buses launched two new school services, the 10s and 11.

The company was granted a short licence notice by the traffic commissioner.

The 10s runs from Slough bus Station to Datchet, stopping at Churchmead School

Service 11 will go from Wraysbury Station to Slough Bus Station with a ‘Slough grammar schools’ stop and one outside Datchet Primary School.

Both services run at about 8am with a return service at the end of the school day.
