Free prostate cancer tests will be on offer to men at Windsor Racecourse.
The event has been organised by the Lions Club of Windsor with the aim of encouraging men aged over 40 to get checked out.
Prostate cancer has overtaken breast cancer to become the third deadliest type of the disease in Britain.
Lion Diane Purchase said: “The club felt the need for greater awareness is still a pressing one and we wanted to build on the success of the first two events we ran in June 2014 and April 2016.”
Out of the 750 people who attended the club’s previous two screening events, eight per cent showed signs of prostate cancer.
Diane added: “The early intervention undoubtedly helped and in some cases have saved lives.”
The free tests will be running on Thursday, April 26 from 4.30 to 8.30pm.
