A heartbroken family is appealing to the driver of a black VW Golf car who may have their 22-year-old beloved family cat Bracken.
Bracken is brown and white and has been part of the Mathieson family's life in Stuart Way, Windsor, since she was a kitten. She is now old, blind, deaf and confused, and usually stays indoors.
But at about 2pm on Saturday she got out through a side door accidentally left open.
Karen Mathieson said: "A car just missed her and a neighbour saw a man in a car pick her up and say he would take her to a vets."
Karen, husband James and children Melissa, 16, and Alexander, 18, have been frantically ringing round vets trying to find if Bracken is there but so far they have had no success.
Melissa said: "We would really appreciate it if the man in the Golf car could contact us and let us know where she is and if she is alright."
