Windsor's parish church is looking for friends.
Members of the congregation past and present are invited, as well as anyone who feels a connection with the High Street church.
Reverend Ainsley Swift said: "We aim to create an organisation of supporters who will help this fine building by contributing to its repair, maintenance, restoration, preservation and development."
The new friends group will be working on a financial push to raise money to paint the church clock.
Supporters hope to win £2,000 from the Royal Borough as part of the council's new policy of supporting community schemes voted for by the public.
