A 29-year-old man has been arrested by police as part of an investigation into a sexual assault on a woman in Windsor.
The force said a 22-year-old woman claimed she was assaulted by a taxi driver in Hatch Lane at 2am on Sunday, but she managed to get out of the vehicle and he drove off.
Officers have been working closely with taxi companies in Windsor and the Royal Borough, which licenses taxi drivers, as part of its investigation.
Inspector Mark Millward, Community Safety Inspector, said: "We would also like to remind people that this kind of incident is extremely uncommon.
"Taking a licensed taxi is the safest way to get home after a night out."
