A man and a woman have been arrested after lead was stolen from a prestigious building in Sheet Street, Windsor.
Someone in one of the £300,000 flats in Coburg House called the police shortly before 3am yesterday, after hearing banging on the roof and hearing something being thrown to the ground.
Police discovered lead missing from the roof and found it in the boot of a car parked nearby.
A man aged 32 and woman aged 26 were arrested and have been bailed until February 7.
Lead theft has become a major problem in the area in recent years with churches and schools among the buildings targeted.
