Redevelopment proposals on the site of the old Mitre pub in Oxford Road, Windsor, have been unanimously rejected by planning councillors.
Councillors from the Royal Borough's Windsor urban development control panel took less than 10 minutes yesterday to reject two applications.
They agreed that the plan by the recently registered Mitre Development Project company to demolish the pub and put three one-bedroom and four two-bedroom flats on the site failed to provide enough parking space.
They also rejected a plan to put two semi-detached houses on the site on the grounds that they were out of keeping with the street scene and could pose a flood risk.
