Two fire crews from Slough and one from Windsor were called out after a man was seen in the river near Eton Bridge in Thames Street, Windsor.
They went to the scene at 3.30am this morning but when they got there the police had already got the man out of the water.
He was being looked after by officers and wrapped up in blankets and was not believed to be seriously injured.
