A flippin' good time was had when the eighth Windsor and Eton Flippin Pancake Challenge took place this morning.
A packed crowd lined Royal Windsor Shopping Centre to see 15 teams of four show their tossing skills over a 40-metre long relay race. This year's theme was the 15th century housewife with teams entering having to don a skirt, apron, headscarf and frying pan.
Slick pancake flippers from The Observer newspaper walked off with bragging rights beating Waitrose team The Batter Boys in the final to win the coveted Frying Pan Trophy.
Second place and silver went to the McDonald Windsor Hotel and bronze went to main sponsor Team Tefal, while Cattle Grid beat Windsor FC's Scotty the Stag to win the mascot race.
There was some consolation for The Batter Boys who took home the Best Dressed Trophy for their traditional housewife look complete with lipstick.
