Windsor's own Territorial Army signallers were in the 'front line' when a groundbreaking TV advertising campaign was launched on Saturday.
The men and women of the 94 (Berkshire Yeomanry) Signal Squadron, based in Bolton Road, joined Territorial Army members from all over the country to launch the ‘TA LIVE’ recruitment ads at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.
The ads were aired on television over the weekend. For the first time they showed military operations in Afghanistan happening live.
Many of Windsor's TA unit members have already served in Afghanistan, which is why three members were invited to Saturday's launch.
They were Signallers Michael Oladunjoye, 38, Becky Tackley, 31, and Lance Corporal Paul Gardner, 37.
Signaller Oladunjoye from Slough has served with the Squadron for two years. He said: “Joining the TA to do something different and it has lived up to expectations, it has been rewarding and exciting.”
