Householders against the cutting of services at Heatherwood Hospital are being urged by Windsor MP Adam Afriyie to 'fight on'.
Mr Afriyie said he expressed his 'disappointment and surprise' at decisions made, which he said did not appear to 'adequately reflect residents concerns'.
He said: "I know how valued Heatherwood Hospital is to our area, not just for its facilities, but for its superb location.
"We have been campaigning for nearly a decade to defend our local hospital services, so I am disheartened by the news."
Mr Afriyie said it was clearly important for NHS bosses to take decisions that are economically viable, but was equally important residents are not placed at an 'unnecessary disadvantage'.
