Supermarket giant Morrison has applied to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council for a premises licence in Windsor town centre.
It is seeking a licence for an M-local store.
The company first opened M-local stores in 2011 and the branches focus on a minimum 100 lines of fresh fruit and vegetables.
WM Morrisons Supermarkets PLC want to open the supermarket in 32 Peascod Street. The site was formerly used by music giant HMV which closed most of its stores earlier this year.
Morrisons is applying to the Royal Borough licensing chiefs to open Monday to Sunday from 6am to midnight and sell alcohol the whole time.
Members of the public have until April 17 to comment on the application.
