Windsor could soon have its own Metro Bank.
Royal Borough planning councillors will be asked to give permission next week for the town to get its own branch of the first new High Street bank to be granted a license in 150 years.
The application is for a Metro Bank to open in Peascod Street next to the Gap shop and the main Daniel frontage.
Councillors are being recommended by planning officers to give the go-ahead.
Metro Bank wants to take out a 25-year lease on the site and will provide 25 full-time jobs.
Metro Bank opened its first branch in Holborn in 2010.
More than 50 street parties are set to take place this weekend across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the surrounding areas.
