A suspect accused of assaulting a man in a racially aggravated attack on December 5 in Windsor is due to stand trial in July.
Russell Kennedy, of Duke Street, is also charged with criminal damage under £5,000 during the alleged assault for damaging a watch worn by the victim.
The 40-year-old pleaded not guilty at Slough Magistrates' Court and will appear for trial at Reading Crown Court on July 15.
