A cute one-eyed puppy at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Old Windsor is starring in her own television advert for canine brand Pedigree.
Three-month old Jack Russell Terrier Emma was brought in as a stray at the Priest Hill centre and is finally looking on the brighter side of life.
She was a face of Pedigree’s new adverts, which appear before the BAFTA nominated ITV series Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs.
The eight-week series follows the lives of some of the sad and heart-warming stories of dogs that come into the home.
The puppy arrived at the centre as a stray and underwent surgery to remove her eye as she had an uneven shaped head and stuck out lower jaw.
Battersea vets decided to operate after discovering her problems meant she had a painful ulcer on her eye and also couldn’t blink.
Senior rehomer Rebecca Norris, who starred in the advert with Emma, said she is such a 'friendly and beautiful dog' and was 'perfect' for the advert.
