Hungry hounds will be getting a special treat to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the annual dogs and cats fun day at Old Windsor.
A muzzle watering cake made of chicken bones, free range chicken thighs, eggs and flaxseed has been specially created.
Kaye Mughal, manager of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home's centre at Priest Hill, said: “We thought we had to mark this special occasion with an extra special treat for our dogs. The fun day raises hundreds of pounds for the home, which goes towards rescuing, reuniting and rehoming thousands of dogs."
A highlight of this year's public open day on Saturday will be an all day dog show judged by West End star Carley Stenson who famously played Steph Cunningham in Hollyoaks.
The cake will be enjoyed by the winning dogs.
Bull terriers Frank and Roxy (pictured) who won the fancy dress competitions three years running are hoping they are in with a chance.
The day will also boast a range of activities and entertainment between 10.30am and 4.30pm and is the public's big chance to see round the premises.
