A police officer has warned householders to lock sheds and garages after a small rise in the number broken into by thieves stealing bikes.
Sergeant Tamara Tatton from the central Windsor neighbourhood team reminded people to ensure sheds are kept fully secured with a credible padlock, and said alarms are available at Windsor Police Station in Alma Road to lock them from the inside.
She also urged bike users to consider fitting an additional lock, using a D-lock or chain, and fitting a hook inside sheds to lock bikes to.
Anyone with a bike can register with Immobilise, the national property register, and get them security marked, which can also be done at the Windsor station.
