Lauren Aquilina is building up a name for herself and her new EP Sinners has peaked inside the iTunes top 40 on pre-orders.
The former Windsor Girls' School pupil released the four-track EP today, which follows on from her debut EP Fools that made the top 10 of the iTunes chart last year.
The 18-year-old has just finished her A-levels and recorded it while doing a Saturday job to pay for studio sessions and had no financial backing.
Her music incorporates piano-led melodies and delicate vocals while her approach to songwriting centres on shared experiences.
She has more than 22,000 Facebook likes on her page, 2.5 million YouTube views and been backed from BBC Introducing and Radio 1 .
She starts her tour on September 5 taking in different UK cities.
