Possession of weapons has gone up 38 per cent for the first three months of 2013, new crime figures have revealed.
The number rose by 38 per cent on the same period in 2012 in statistics revealed in a crime summary by Thames Valley Police of offences from April 1 to June 30.
Superintendent Simon Bowden, local police area commander for Windsor and Maidenhead will speak about the figures to the Royal Borough's crime and disorder and scrutiny panel on Monday.
The panel will also get an update on work by the task and finish group on the borough's drug treatment service by drug and alcohol action team manager Claire Gomm.
Council community safety manager Brian Martin will also give an update on the domestic abuse review being undertaken by the Royal Borough.
